| Wow. I can't believe I didn't update this whole semester. Let's see if I can catch you up.
This semester kind of sucked. My classes kicked my ass (somehow made the Dean's List again), and I was entirely too emo. I am really not proud of how I acted this semester, but I think that the amount of stress I had had a lot to do with it. Marching band takes up so much time. My dad's sick. Around October he had a stroke and when he went to the hospital, they found out that he has cancer in his esophagus. He's currently at a hospital in Dallas undergoing chemo and radiation.
I guess I just kind of had to get all this out because I am very hopeful for this next semester. Emily and I have moved off campus and I pretty much love our apartment. No more fire alarms! Candidacy for the next TBS class will start when we get back and it'll be pretty awesome to be on the other side of it. I'm only taking 16 hours next semester and won't have marching band so there will be a lot less stress. This next semester definitely looks promising and I've made a few personal resolutions that will hopefully help me along my way to become a genuinely happy person. I'm thinking it will happen :).
"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you
can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too
high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." -Emerson

| New York City = Amazing
I don't even know what to say about the trip. Turner did a pretty good job though, so if you would like to know either ask me or click on the jeanomack link to your left :). Just know that it was wonderful. I NY.
I had a blast teaching at Dekalb too! My kids were really good and had a great work ethic. I hope I can be so lucky as to teach such a good group when I go out into the real world :).
I can't believe it's almost school time.. I'm leaving Saturday morning. I'm excited but I'll miss this summer. It's probably been the best I've ever had.
Believe it or not, I'm actually kind of nervous to go back to Nac. You would think that after living there for a year and making some amazing friends , I wouldn't be at all. But I am lol. I'm sure I won't be after an hour there :).
It'll be good to see the 403 clan again :). I feel like I haven't seen Sam the Pole and Emily the Fish and Emily the person in forever! Part A Monday night!
Anyway... Bonham friends-- I've loved this summer and I'll miss you terribly. Nac friends-- See you in a couple days. This year will be incredible :).
Goodnight :).

| So my last post was kind of emo. Sorry about that, everything's better now : ).
Only 3 weeks until band starts! Yay! Yes, I know I'm a nerd.
So yesterday was Josh and Michelle King's wedding. I went down on Friday and had an AWESOME time with Turner on Friday (lazer tag! yes...). I think we should definitely get a group together once school starts back up and go to Lufkin and play. It was pretty much awesome (even though the first time I played I got a -96)! And like I said, yesterday was Josh and Michelle's wedding. It was really nice. It got me teary eyed a couple of times but that's okay. After the wedding we stayed at the reception for a while and at around 7:30, I left to go back to Bonham. Around 10 o'clock, I was kind of in the middle of nowhere and I had a blow out and in turn kind of freaked out because my parents are in New Mexico right now. I called them anyway, and they gave me both of my stepsister's phone numbers and the older one came with my brother-in-law and changed it for me. In short I made a drive that's supposed to take a little less than 3 hours (because I was in Henderson) in 4. In about an hour I'm going to Baker Tire to get a new tire because tonight I'm driving to Texarkana to stay with Josh and Michelle (who just got married) because Josh got me a job doing clarinet sectionals for De Kalb's summer band. Hopefully it won't be too much like You, Me, and Dupree... I'll try to stay out of the way. When I get back from that on Friday, I will start packing to go to New York City! I've never traveled far, or to anywhere very cool so I am very excited! The trip is my birthday present from my parents and since both of them hate New York and don't want to go with me, Turner is going too : ). I'm going to be such a tourist too! I don't care though because I would be upset later on if I weren't.
Anyway, I'm gonna go get ready to get my tire changed! Have a good couple of weeks if I don't update!

| Why is it that every time things start going great, I find a way to screw every thing up?

| Hmmm... New layout. I love Breakfast at Tiffany's and the picture and quote, but I wish I could change the width of the text box thing. Yes, text box thing is a very technical term. And I wish it showed the dates. But other than that, it's cool.. I'll probably change it in a couple of days.
Yeah, so enough about my layout. It's been awhile (although I can't tell you exactly how long because the dates aren't shown). This summer has been wonderful. I've been getting to spend a lot of time with friends and Turner came to visit this past weekend and got to meet Kirsty and Devin :). As usual, it was great to see him.
Summer I is over! I took my last final today :). Now it's time for my one day break (tomorrow), and then Summer II! Luckily, it's only an online class this time so I'm not spending all my money on commuting four days a week. I'm really glad that I'm taking these classes because it'll give me 10 more hours and make me a junior at the end of the fall semester. This way I would be able to move off campus if I wanted to. We'll see. I might and might not, I don't think it would kill me to stay another semester after in the dorms, but it's nice to at least have the option.
Completely random thought: I love getting people addicted to One Tree Hill. So far I'm at nine! I think the producers should pay me : )!
Speaking of One Tree Hill, my awesome roommate is coming to see me this weekend! You know that has a lot to do with One Tree Hill. But yeah, Emily Prien is gonna come see me! And it's gonna be awesome and incredibly fun.
And next week, I will be 19 on the 19th :). Yay for birthdays!
Anyway, I'm gonna go. Have a fantastic week! | | |
